Sign Smith Illustrated Dictionary is designed for everyone who wants to learn basic American Sign Language. Illustrated Dictionary is an engaging and highly interactive reference tool that gives the user control over the characters signing speed, the camera view and zoom, and the choice of characters.
Illustrated Dictionary is ASL, Signed English (SE) and fingerspell enabled. The Illustrated Dictionary includes the 500 signs most commonly included in beginning ASL courses.
Every word in the dictionary is represented by a picture, used in a sentence and signed by your selected character. Just click on a letter to jump to words that start with that letter or choose from 20 categories, like Activities, Adjectives and Animals. If a word has more than one meaning, the user picks which sense of the word is intended.
Any word that does not have a sign will be fingerspelled by the character.
